Before understanding Success, we must understand four words: GOAL, AIM, DREAM, and VISION
GOAL
Definition: A goal is a specific target that is measurable, time-bound, and achievable. It is broken down into small milestones or steps to reach an aim.
Nature: Goals are focused and action-oriented, providing a clear roadmap.
Clarity: A goal is clearly defined, with clear answers to “when, what, and how.
Example: I want to complete a web development project within six months by learning the necessary skills.
AIM
Definition: An aim is a general intention or direction that you want to achieve. It is often broad and long-term.
Nature: An aim typically defines the overall purpose or desired outcome. It lacks specifics.
Clarity: An aim is often vague or unclear and remains without details.
Example: I want a successful career.
DREAM
A word that you must have often heard from people, like someone’s dream is to become rich. But if you ask them how rich they want to be, they don’t give a clear answer and say they want to be very rich. In simple language, we can say that without any strong reason or knowledge about what one wants to become, this kind of thinking is called a dream.
Definition: A dream is an aspiration, desire, or wish that we think about or visualize. It is often vague and lacks a specific plan.
Nature: A dream is often imaginative and carries emotional attachment.
Action: It is easy to just dream, but if no action is taken towards it, it remains just a fantasy.
Example: One day, I will become a billionaire.
VISION
Definition: Vision is a clear, well-defined goal that needs to be achieved in the future. It has a structured plan that guides it towards becoming a reality.
Nature: Vision is focused and action-oriented. It is realistic and comes with a strategy.
Action: Achieving the vision requires determination and hard work. It transforms dreams into goals and plans.
Example: I want to set up my business in 10 years, and for that, I need to conduct market research, financial planning, and accumulate resources.
This is the most powerful thing. Vision is filled with a strong reason, motive, and complete information. A vision is not achieved, it is lived.
SUCCESS
To achieve success, one needs goals, aims, and all kinds of help. But the truly successful person is the one who conquers their vision, not just fulfills it. That’s why many rich people are not successful, while many poor people are. Let me explain with an example:
Why many rich people are not successful: Every rich person has a vision to find peace, for their family to listen to them, for everyone in the house to be happy, and for there to be no financial problems. But does this ever happen? The answer is no. Because a rich person never finds peace, they are always chasing after money. That’s why not every rich person is successful.
On the other hand, some poor people are successful: The vision of the poor is simple — to have their family stay with them and to earn an honest living. They don’t have any other big expectations. They want to live a happy and peaceful life with their family. Many poor people achieve this vision because their family stays with them and their basic needs are fulfilled.
